Hi, I'm having a related but slightly different problem. Yours is probably a faulty cyclods unit. But for me, I've been using mine for about a year with no problems. But recently the ds I've been using got a cracked hinge so i bought a new ds lite. Now the same cyclods doesn't work with the new system, I think because nintendo must have sold it with a new version of firmware that blocks the cyclo.
